    Job Title: Fabric Cutter** **Job Description

     

    As a Fabric Cutter, you will be responsible for making precise cuts on industrial fabric using a variety of cutting tools and techniques. Your work will contribute to meeting daily production objectives in a safe and efficient manner. This role also involves material handling and working closely with team members to ensure high-quality results.

    Responsibilities

    + Utilize various manual cutting tools to perform precise cuts on industrial fabrics.

    + Measure fabrics accurately using a tape measure to ensure product specifications are met.

    + Pay close attention to detail to guarantee precise cutting according to product specifications.

    + Inspect completed pieces for cleanliness and completion before moving them to the next stage.

    + Maintain cleanliness of cutting equipment.

    + Assist with sewing tasks when required.

    + Adhere to and comply with all company safety requirements.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in using a tape measure and scissors.

    + Experience with sewing, industrial sewing, upholstering, and embroidery.

    + Familiarity with sewing machines and assembly processes.

    + Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.

    + Strong mathematical skills for measuring and calculations.

    + 1-3 years of industrial/commercial sewing experience.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

    + Willingness to spend approximately 50% of the time on knees to complete cutting tasks.

    Work Environment

    Work in a non-climate controlled atmosphere alongside 12 other employees. Utilize industrial sewing machines and various cutting tools in a collaborative and dynamic department.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dallas, TX.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
