**Pay Range:** $55.75 - $83.07 per hour

Summary:
The Manager, Data Management Infrastructure is responsible for providing direction, guidance, and mentorship to those who build, deploy, operate, and support Rush’s industry leading, Data Management platforms. The Manager is expected to lead and manage a highly technical team and so must have a strong technical background and understanding of the workflows themselves in order to coach and support the team through to delivery of application solutions. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.

• Understanding of SQL for data querying, data analysis, and script development
• Advanced understanding of data quality management, data governance frameworks, and compliance practices
• Experience in software development, including an understanding of programming concepts and the logic flow of applications
Responsibilities:

• Implements Rush’s data management strategy and operating model
• Works with Project Managers (PM) or Business Analyst (BA) to translate roadmap features into manageable components/tasks, estimate timings and resources, suggest solutions and identify possible risks.
• Manages team projects and supports deliverables by developing project plans that maintain high level of staff utilization on projects in order to meet project expectations.
• Provides direction and instructions to team members on prioritization of activities.
• Keeps track of project details addressing issues affecting project timeline.
• Maintains frequent communication with staff to understand status, issues, progress and concerns.
• Ensures adherence to prescribed change management and update procedures for any alterations to the production.
• Develops work plans for staff and coordinates with project team leadership to integrate these plans into larger project plans.
• Communicates with users (or other managers/PMs if project is part of larger project) including the coordination of key milestones.
• Assumes responsibility for all of team's documentation managing the accuracy & consistency of content.
• Identifies opportunities to improve processes and develops internal action items as needed.
• Ensures that all managed environments maintain Rush's data in secure methods following best practices; allowing only authorized access to information while providing abilities to support backup, recovery and proper levels of business resumption planning with quarterly reviews of identified gaps and execution of remediation plans.
• Provides accurate and well-organized verbal and written instructions.
• Acts as the liaison between clients, vendors and other IS Teams.
• Maintains excellent relations with vendors that play an important role in existing projects and applications.
• Monitors capacity demand to ensure that all required system capacity is well ahead of growth and usage requirements (Disk-space, I/O device saturation, CPU, Memory) to pro-actively plan for growth, proper software levels (patches, and release levels).
• Management of Rush’s data architecture and data management infrastructure
• Aligns Rush’s data management capabilities with business strategy
• Guides the evaluation and optimization of data management tools to advance data capabilities and operational efficiency
• Collaborates with Data Governance team to ensure procedures are being enforced to facilitate the accuracy, reliability, and security of data within the organization
• Oversees data integration processes to facilitate a seamless data flow between systems and applications
• Prepare processes to support disaster recovery plans and ensure environments meet required availability requirements.
• Evaluate existing and upcoming technology and be able to effectively incorporate them into Rush’s technical environment.
• Ensures that goal achievement does not come at the cost of the ICARE values.
• Responsible for hiring, firing, performance appraisals, and pay reviews.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Job Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline and seven to eight (7-8) years of experience working with data management tools and platforms. An Associate Degree and nine to ten (9-10) years of experience working with data management tools and platforms will be accepted in lieu of a Bachelor’s.
• At least five years of leadership responsibility.
• Broad knowledge of the field with proven leadership skills.
• Must be knowledgeable of data management platforms and master data management workflows.
• Technical, analytical, leadership, decision-making, problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Leadership skills including knowing how to lead a technical team including developers, analyst, and support resources.
• Experience with implementing and supporting data management platforms such as Informatica, Oracle, Collibra, or Purview
• Experience in data management, business intelligence, and analytics environments
