Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Tax Senior to join our team in Hopkinton, Massachusetts. In this role, you will manage a variety of tax-related tasks, including preparing and reviewing tax returns, maintaining accounting records, and mentoring entry-level staff. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop client relationships and contribute to the success of our organization.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships in compliance with applicable regulations.

• Handle and review tax extensions to ensure timely submissions.

• Evaluate initial estimates for federal and state income tax payments.

• Assist in the preparation and review of detailed tax accounting records.

• Collaborate with business clients to maintain accurate bookkeeping records, including entering transactions, reconciling bank statements, and posting journal entries.

• Process annual Form 1099 filings for clients.

• Draft and review response letters to taxing authorities addressing inquiries and issues.

• Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout the year.

• Supervise, train, and mentor entry-level team members to enhance their skills and productivity.

• Apply extensive knowledge of accounting principles and practices to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Requirements

+ Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Finance or Accounting), CPA/EA/ProAdvisor a+++

+ Minimum 3 years accounting experience

+ Experience with Intuit products and MS Office preferred
