• VP/Director of Finance

    Description

    We are looking for an experienced VP/Director of Finance to take charge of financial operations and strategic planning in Washington, District of Columbia. This contract position requires a dynamic leader capable of managing key financial tasks, overseeing audits, and ensuring accuracy in all financial reporting.     Responsibilities:

    • Oversee the relationship with the outsourced accounting firm to ensure timely and accurate financial management.

    • Lead audit processes to ensure compliance and transparency with financial standards.

    • Administer payroll operations for 12 permanent employees.

    • Monitor monthly financial variances and provide detailed analysis for decision-making.

    • Manage cash flow and ensure effective allocation of resources.

    • Review and approve monthly financial statements to maintain accuracy and compliance.

    • Record payables in the organization’s financial systems to ensure seamless operations.

    Requirements

    • Proven expertise in month-end closing procedures and financial reporting.

    • Strong ability to create and analyze cash flow forecasts.

    • Experience with monthly variance analysis and financial statement preparation.

    • Demonstrated leadership in managing audits and external financial relationships.

    • Familiarity with cash management principles and practices.

    • Advanced understanding of financial compliance, regulatory standards, and US GAAP.
