    The BIM Specialist will play a critical role in supporting the design and construction of mechanical systems, including industrial piping, HVAC, and high-purity installations. This position ensures that Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes are implemented effectively to deliver high-quality, coordinated, and constructible designs that align with principles of safety, quality, and integrity.

    Responsibilities

    + Develop and manage BIM models for mechanical systems across industrial, commercial, and high-purity projects.

    + Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and field teams to ensure accurate integration of piping, HVAC, and utility systems.

    + Perform clash detection and resolve conflicts between disciplines using BIM software such as Revit.

    + Generate construction documents and shop drawings directly from BIM models to support fabrication and installation.

    + Maintain BIM standards and workflows consistent with the design-build approach.

    + Support project delivery by providing 3D visualization and technical input during planning and construction phases.

    + Train and mentor team members on BIM tools and best practices.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and other BIM tools.

    + Strong understanding of mechanical systems including piping, HVAC, and high-purity installations.

    + 2–5 years of BIM experience in mechanical contracting, HVAC, or industrial piping projects.

    + Excellent communication skills for collaboration with engineers, contractors, and clients.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

    + Knowledge of fabrication software is a plus.

    + Windows 11 operating system environment.

    + MS Office environment.

    + Experience with AutoCAD Plant 3D 2024 or better.

    + Experience with Navisworks 2024 or better.

    + Experience with Revit 2024 using CADMEP fabrication parts.

    + Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud (file sharing and collaboration).

    + Experience with Nemetschek - Bluebeam.

    + Optional: Experience with AutoCAD Fabrication CADMEP 2024 or better.

    + Optional: Experience with Point Cloud Handling.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Raleigh, NC.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $50.00/hr.
