• Structural Engineer

    Actalent (Chicago, IL)


    A national firm that specializes in parking consulting, design, planning and restoration is looking to add a Structural Engineer to their team!

    Job Description:

    + Will be reporting to the Senior PM and Principal on projects

    + Collaborate with geotechnical, architectural and MEP project members to complete projects

    + Develop structural design calculations, structural analysis/research, specifications and structural drawings

    + Apply ACI, AISC and IBC building codes, PCI & PTI Design Guidelines to the design of foundations, superstructures, and related building components

    + May assist with site visits with reviewing testing/inspection/field reports

    + Will be working with Senior Structural Engineer to provide structural research/analysis reports

    Qualifications:

    + Bachelors is required

    + Must have EIT and on track towards PE; SE is a plus

    + 2+ years of post-grad structural experience

    + Experience working on parking structures is preferred; commercial, healthcare, industrial, utilities is transferrable

    + Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD knowledge is required

    + Knowledge of ACI, AISC and IBC building codes, PCI & PTI Design Guidelines

    + Experience/knowledge of the structural design of concrete including precast, conventional and post-tensioned cast-in-place, structural steel and masonry

    + Experience with wind/seismic analysis, spread footing and deep and shallow retention walls

    This is a Permanent position based out of Chicago, IL.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
