Job Title: Electronic Design EngineerJob Description

Responsibilities

+ Design and develop digital and analog electronic PCBAs and system-level designs for energy products.

+ Collaborate with teams such as mechanical, firmware, EMC, RF, design validation, thermal design, compliance, reliability, and manufacturing test engineers.

+ Take ownership of circuit board electronics from specification through design, prototype, validation, and manufacturing.

Essential Skills

+ Expertise in high-speed digital design and signal integrity.

+ Proficiency with DDR memory and Ethernet interfaces.

+ Experience with signal integrity simulation, ideally with Anysis SiWave.

+ Ability to perform or guide PCB layout, including stackup design and controlled impedance definition.

+ Proficiency in bench validation and debugging, including measuring eye diagram compliance.

+ Basic firmware understanding for bootloader configurations and device settings.

+ Basic scripting skills to read and modify test scripts.

+ Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.

+ 3+ years of relevant work experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with DSPs, microcontrollers, or programmable logic devices.

+ Experience in designing digital communication buses such as CAN, Ethernet, RS-485, USB, SPI, I2C.

+ Experience with analog sensors and signal conditioning circuits.

+ Experience designing board-level power supplies (buck, boost, flyback).

+ Experience in PCB layout, plane definition, and thermal and EMC optimization.

+ Knowledge of medium to high volume DFT and DFM.

+ Previous experience in the solar, energy storage, electric vehicle, or charging industry is a plus.

+ Experience with battery management systems, power electronics, high-speed digital design, or RF is a plus.

+ Familiarity with development of digital and analog interfaces for test systems, especially using Labview, Matlab, or Python, is a plus.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Menlo Park, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $90.00/hr.
