Job Title: Project Manager/EstimatorJob Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Project Manager/Estimator to join our dynamic team. This dual-role position involves estimating and pricing responsibilities that transition into managing closed jobs and projects through the manufacturing and production process. Our company specializes in the processing of ferrous and non-ferrous metal marts and fabrications, with a focus on high-volume cut-to-length, welded fabrications, sheet metal work, and intricately machined parts.
Responsibilities
+ Perform take-offs and quantity accumulations to determine cost-based pricing of jobs.
+ Connect with and receive pricing from subcontractors and suppliers.
+ Assign production-based hours to complete estimated work.
+ Prepare proposals and other communications to present to customers.
+ Close new orders with the receipt of purchase orders.
+ Conduct job setup in the system and track jobs quoted and closed.
+ Foster relationships with existing and new customers.
+ Perform buyout functions to optimize budgets.
+ Purchase required materials and issue purchase orders/contracts to outside subcontractors and/or suppliers.
+ Obtain, accumulate, or generate required shop drawings and material certifications, and obtain customer approval.
+ Prepare work orders and releases to shop for processing/manufacturing.
+ Communicate and coordinate with manufacturing and customers as required.
+ Maintain financial accountability for project performance through production.
+ Assist finance with invoicing and collection-related communications.
+ Provide customer-related follow-up or resolution of any post-delivery matters.
+ Assist other departmental areas as needed.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in project management and estimation.
+ Experience with metal products.
+ Strong skills in Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in project management/estimating.
+ Ability to move through facilities as needed to perform required functions.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kansas City, KS.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
