Job Title: Pharmacist
Job Description
This is a fully remote position with occasional onsite meetings. The role involves ensuring efficiency and completeness in remote prescription processing and dispensing while providing essential pharmaceutical services.
Responsibilities
+ Communicate with customers such as hospital pharmacies and renal clinics to verify prescriptions, supplies, or support services required by patients.
+ Evaluate dosages and schedules, consulting with customers regarding therapy recommendations.
+ Coordinate with Customer Service personnel to perform and verify order entry quantities from customer data systems.
+ Engage with other pharmacists located at remote locations.
+ Oversee all record-keeping and licensing to ensure accuracy and compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations.
+ Maintain required documentation, including exception reporting.
+ Participate in continuous improvement processes by providing input for procedural changes.
+ Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality assurance and JCAHO standards, as well as local, state, and federal regulations.
+ Review, update, and adhere to pharmacy protocols and procedures to maintain regulatory compliance.
+ Provide pharmaceutical services such as patient counseling and drug utilization review.
+ Report prescription audit results and trends on a monthly basis.
+ Maintain and update all necessary reference materials.
+ Communicate issues with appropriate personnel, including other pharmacists and Customer Service personnel.
+ Foster good working relationships with physicians and nurses from key clinics.
+ Participate in projects with cross-functional teams and provide professional knowledge and pharmacy perspectives.
+ Perform other duties related to Pharmacy as assigned by the Board of Pharmacy.
Essential Skills
+ Strong pharmacy knowledge including PharmD or equivalent qualification from an accredited School of Pharmacy.
+ An active Illinois pharmacist license in good standing.
+ Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Multi-state pharmacist licensure preferred.
+ Experience in drug distribution is preferred.

This is a Contract position based out of Lincolnshire, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $50.00/hr.
