    Description

    This is a part-time grant funded position, projected to end on June 30, 2026.

     

    Examples of Duties

     

    Reports to the Assistant Director, Workforce Development Operations; provides instruction as directed and uses effective teaching methods; measures student learning outcomes and progress; monitors attendance logs and required documentation; works with program coordinator/manager; performs related duties as assigned

    Typical Qualifications

    Experience

    + A minimum of 3 years’ experience teaching subject area preferred; experience teaching adults and diverse populations; strong oral and written communication skills.

    Terms of Employment

    + This position may require flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends, and may require duties at any Atlantic Cape location.

     

    Tuition Waiver - adjuncts may enroll for one credit course, tuition-free, during any semester they are teaching.

     

    Paid sick leave in accordance with the NJ Paid Sick Leave Law

     

    ABP (Alternate Benefit Program (https://www.state.nj.us/treasury/pensions/pension-active-abp.shtml) is a defined contribution retirement program for adjuncts. Adjuncts contribute 5% of base salary and the college contributes 8% of base salary. There are seven State-authorized ABP investment carriers. Life insurance benefits through ABP are payable to the beneficiary at 3.5X the member's salary.
