    This position offers up to $50k in signing bonus for external applicants as well as internal per diem to full time conversions.

     

    Position Summary: Operate stationary and mobile x‐ray equipment to obtain radiographs of designated regions of the body as well as operate CT equipment in a safe and competent manner. Education, License & Cert: High school diploma and graduation from an accredited Radiography Technologist Program. ARRT certification in Radiography within 6 months of hire. ARRT certification in Computed Tomography within 1 year of hire. Experience: Minimum of 6 months preferred as a registered technologist in Radiography. Essential Functions: Performs Diagnostic Radiographic procedures as well as Computed Tomography procedures: 1. Adjust radiographic equipment/CT equipment to correct settings for each examination. 2. Demonstrate accurate positioning of patients to fully utilize photometer. 3. Perform appropriate QA on designated equipment as required by manufacturer and state regulations. 4. Complete IV competency and be able to successfully start and use IVs on patients. Proficient in Patient Care activities as related to Radiography and Computed Tomography: 1. Ability to replate to patient’s information pertaining to ordered procedures. 2. Follow protocols in dealing with patients with infectious diseases. 3. Demonstrate competency in patient preparation, including informed consent and injection of IV contrast. 4. Must be knowledgeable in cross sectional anatomy Knowledge in the correct use of Radiology Information Systems (RIS) such as EPIC, scheduling, patient tracking, completion, downtime procedures and PACS. Work as part of a team to maintain high standards in Radiography and Computed Tomography. 1. Attends in‐service programs as scheduled. 2. Ability to work cooperatively with other technologists, nurses, and healthcare professionals. 3. Works to keep morale high, does not complain to him/herself but works at finding a solution to a particular problem. 4. Seeks help and answers to questions when needed. 5. Performs examinations in a confident, safe, and timely fashion. 6. Respects patient privacy, modesty, and comfort. 7. Demonstrates willingness to accept non‐routine work assignments as appropriate. 8. Must be able to be in the call rotation on a scheduled basis and be in the department within 30 minutes after being called in for a procedure. Other Duties: 1. Clean and restock rooms daily. 2. Perform other duties as needed and assigned. 3. Ability to deal with stressful situations. 4. Reports any concerns or problems to Radiology Manager. 5. Supervises, instructs, and evaluates radiology students as needed. 6. Must be able to transport portable equipment to Operating Room, Emergency Department, inpatient rooms, etc. 7. Meets regularly at Radiology Department meetings and with affiliated Radiology school officials to maintain current knowledge of school policies/procedures and student progress. 8. Must have ability to react quickly to emergency situations such as patient fainting, patient being unsteady while standing for procedures, or if unsafe situation occurs, such as a fire, getting the patient to safety and sounding alarm. 9. Must be able to work all shifts, including weekends, on a scheduled basis. 10. Must be able to list, push, reach, bend, stoop, and walk in order to care for patients. Must be able to perform a stand‐pivot transfer with a 105 pound patient.
