As a Mechanical Assembler (Solder) you will perform the various tasks necessary to assemble mechanical assemblies under microscope for production. This job performs the standard assembly, soldering and installation steps for the components required in production line assemblies.
Responsibilities:
• Performing a wide variety of electrical/mechanical product assembly operations on components, assemblies, or sub-assemblies for the defense industry.
• On the job training to be certified to IPC-J-STD and IPC-D-610, which defines criteria for acceptance standards
• The ability to identify electrical component values.
• Hand load PCB assembly following Assembly Drawings and visual aide.
• Solder various electronic component sizes following industry standards set by IPC-J-Std. including fine pitch components
• Read, understand, and follow written instructions, engineering drawings or visual aids and incorporate call outs onto assembly
• Solder components on PCBs under a microscope
• Perform inspections and identify and repair soldering anomalies.
• Solder with lead- and lead-free solder
• Continuously meeting/exceeding production schedules and deadlines according to quality standards
• Maintaining logs, paperwork, and forms accurately consistent with company policy and practices
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications – External/internal:
• Ability to work with general instruction on daily activities.
• Ability to multi-task
• Good mechanical aptitude
• Must be able to work under microscope and sit for extended periods of time.
• Experience soldering electronics components.
• Working knowledge of ESD (Electrostatic discharge) prevention and product handling, preferred.
• 3-5 years of J-STD soldering experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred

Bonus or Equity
This position is also eligible for bonus as part of the total compensation package.
Pay Range
The hourly salary range for this position (in local currency) is $17.16-31.87.
Is this role subject to ITAR?
The essential duties of this position require adherence to U.S. Government export control regulations.
