Job Description
A precision machining company serving aerospace and defense industries, specializing in high-quality components and assemblies.
Job Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate manual machines (lathes, mills, grinders) to produce precision parts according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T symbols, and work instructions to ensure dimensional accuracy.
- Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and speeds/feeds for machining operations.
- Perform in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Maintain accurate documentation of production runs, part dimensions, and quality checks.
- Troubleshoot and adjust setups to maintain tolerances and surface finishes.
- Keep machines and work areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve machining issues and optimize processes.

Skills and Requirements
- Strong knowledge of manual machining techniques (turning, milling, drilling, grinding).
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and apply GD&T principles.
- Experience with aerospace or high-precision components preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines. - Familiarity with PDM systems and basic MS Office skills.
- Understanding of load paths and structural considerations for aerospace parts.
