Senior Outage Planner Analyst
The Outage Work Management team is seeking a Senior Outage Planner Analyst to plan, schedule, and perform analyses for various work groups within the Power Plant outage team. This position directly impacts the reliability of our Power Plant Outages and our organization's ability to provide safe, reliable, and cost-effective energy services to our customers.
As a Senior Outage Planner Analyst, you will be responsible for managing multiple programs of work, which could include any of the following: Outage management involving Contractors, Mechanical Maintenance, Instrumentation & Control, Engineering, Environmental, or others, depending on the needs of the department during outages and throughout the year on projects as needed. Successful candidates in this role will be accountable for building productive, cross-functional relationships and promoting a positive and collaborative culture and work environment, with an emphasis on identifying and implementing best practices to create organizational business efficiencies.
Daily duties may include:
+ Conduct complex analytical, planning, and data quality control activities and reporting for power plant outage
+ Facilitate and conduct complex planning activities for the schedule and layout of projects, equipment, production facilities, and facility outages
+ Review and execute contracts for the procurement of goods, materials, and/or services related to operation, maintenance, and construction functions
+ Initiate and participate in cost studies and equipment recommendations, manufacturing cost control and reduction, and other engineering and economic studies
+ Create, maintain, and track a valid long-term Master Schedule or Outage Schedule for materials and resources that best satisfy demands
+ Monitor multiple long-term projects in accordance with set schedules through the use of analytical reports, resource leveling, forecasting, master scheduling, and plant outage scheduling
+ Provide interpretation of specifications and contracts; monitor construction or outage process; verify work is completed in accordance with contract documents or agreements
+ Provide technical direction to a small group of professional, craft, and/or support personnel
+ Lead, direct, mentor, train, coordinate, and review the work of Planner Analysts; plan and oversee the training program
+ Coordinate and oversee quality control and work management activities; perform cost and data analysis
+ Assist in the work management process with the installation, implementation, and auditing of other areas in operations as needed
+ Provide project and process review and oversight
+ Maintain and update the work management system and related records and reports
+ Work requires knowledge and use of work management processes, including planning, scheduling, processing of work orders, and supply chain management
+ Work requires the application of standard planning tools, including engineering work standards and scheduling techniques and methods; may involve substantial evaluation, analysis, and modification of standards in problem-solving efforts
+ Build and maintain favorable relationships across a wide variety of stakeholders (internal and external), collaborating effectively to achieve project goals
+ Contribute to successful budget development and job forecasting in partnership with other leaders
Key Areas of Focus:
+ Schedule, prepare, plan, review, and analyze work order requests and projects
+ Estimate labor and equipment costs for proposed projects
+ Conduct pre-planning inspections and perform field job scoping tasks
+ Attend pre-construction and/or pre-outage meetings
+ Research and locate parts and materials
+ Schedule tasks for the project or crew workforce
+ Analyze, review, and monitor performance levels; recommend areas of improvement
+ Prepare and use long-range scheduling of capital projects and align with outage and workflow schedules
+ Prepare analytical charts, graphs, and other reports for management
+ Maintain and update the work management system and related records and reports
Who You Are:
+ Demonstrated understanding of construction processes and/or complex utility systems
+ Subject matter expert familiar with the utilization of both linear and vertical asset systems
+ Experience with using Maximo and other systems of record
+ Experienced and proficient in working with Microsoft Office (Excel, Power BI, Word, etc.)
+ Knowledge of foundational Work Management principles
+ Completion of a Utility apprenticeship and/or direct field experience is valued
+ Possession of relevant State License(s) is valued
+ Strong technical skills related to data management and reporting
+ Skilled in logistically supporting work tasks and assignments, utilizing resource forethought and anticipation
+ A valid, unrestricted driver's license is required for this role

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
+ Exerts 20-50 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or 10-25 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
+ Positions in this class typically require climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions. Incumbents may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, vibrations, fumes, odors, dusts, gases, poor ventilation, chemicals, oils, extreme temperatures, workspace restrictions, and intense noises.
