    Job Summary

    Join Caterpillar’s dynamic engineering team in Tucson, AZ as a **Senior Test & Validation Engineer** for our **Large Mining Trucks – Ultra Class** product line **.** In this role, you will lead the development and execution of advanced testing and validation processes to ensure product reliability and performance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve design and manufacturing issues, implement innovative technologies, and optimize testing procedures for efficiency and cost-effectiveness. This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects that shape the future of heavy equipment and sustainable solutions.     Key Responsibilities

    + Develop and improve testing, validation, and development processes for new and existing products.

    + Resolve design and manufacturing issues to ensure product readiness and quality.

    + Implement advanced technologies such as automation, robotics, and CAM software into testing workflows.

    + Develop and execute test procedures to maximize reliability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

    + Develop proactive reliability metrics for NPI and NTI programs and ensure reliability and durability goals are communicated to system and component teams.

    + Monitor and analyze test results, machine capabilities, and process performance.

    + Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure design acceptance and compliance.

    Required Degree

    + Bachelor’s degree in an accredited Engineering discipline.

    Required Skills

    + Strong knowledge of testing and validation methodologies.

    + Experience with mechanical or electrical systems in heavy equipment or similar industries.

    + Ability to analyze data and troubleshoot complex engineering problems.

    + Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

    Preferred Skills

    + Proficiency in data analysis tools.

    + Experience in product development and New Product Introduction (NPI).

    + Strong project management skills in engineering environments.

    Summary Pay Range:

    $110,520.00 - $165,840.00

     

    Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
