Job Title: IT Technician

SUMMARY:

The IT Technician will accommodate the Joint Readiness Training Center’s (JRTC) mission by providing support within the distinct automation hardware and software environment. The IT Technician will provide assistance and sustainment training for government and contractor personnel pertaining to the use of JRTC hardware and software. Receives technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician, and work is reviewed from compliance with accepted practices. The IT Technician may provide technical guidance within the team of technicians.

REQUIREMENTS:

+ Must be able to travel unaccompanied to continental US and foreign locations.

+ Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to a government computer.

+ Will be subject to pre-employment drug screening.

EDUCATION:

+ High School Diploma.

+ Must possess the CompTIA Security+ certification.

+ Must be able to obtain the Computing Environment Certificate Microsoft MD 102 within 6 months

DESIRED EDUCATION:

+ Associate Degree

+ CompTIA A+ certification

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

+ Possess extensive knowledge in standard commercial ADP practices. Able to perform diagnostic and minor maintenance tasks on state-of-the-art computer COTS hardware equipment.

+ Must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance; Employment is contingent upon receiving clearance

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

+ 3 years’ experience in technical diagnostic and troubleshooting techniques for computer systems and networks.
