Job Description
**Design and optimize welding and brazing processes for mission-critical applications.** Teledyne Microwave Solutions has over 50 years of experience delivering advanced microwave/RF components and integrated assemblies for aerospace, defense, and communications. Our products support aviation, radar, Satcom, space, and electronic warfare systems worldwide. If you’re passionate about precision joining techniques and process reliability, this role is for you.
What you’ll do
+ Design and implement welding and brazing procedures for various materials
+ Develop Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Brazing Procedure Specifications (BPS)
+ Select filler materials, fluxes, and shielding gases for optimal performance
+ Optimize heat input, joint design, and fixturing for repeatable results
+ Conduct qualification tests (PQRs) and ensure compliance with AWS, ASME, and ISO standards
+ Perform metallurgical evaluations and NDT methods such as radiography, ultrasonic, and dye penetrant
+ Analyze microstructures and joint integrity post-weld/braze
+ Maintain detailed records of welding and brazing activities and inspection reports
+ Support audits and customer reviews with technical documentation
+ Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions
What you need
+ Expertise in welding and brazing techniques and standards (required)
+ Experience with WPS, BPS, and PQR documentation (required)
+ Knowledge of NDT methods and metallurgical analysis (required)
+ Strong troubleshooting and process optimization skills (required)
+ Bachelor’s degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Science, or related field with 5–7 years experience (required)
+ Familiarity with AWS, ASME, and ISO standards (required)
+ Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance (required)

Salary Range:
$90,800.00-$121,100.000
