    Description:

    The purpose of this position is to support the College of Engineering’s teaching and research functions by ensuring that shop equipment is in working order, maintaining the Machine Shop safety plans, interfacing with contractors for estimates and installations, and designing and building specialized equipment as needed for the labs.

    Requirements:

    High school diploma or equivalency and two years of experience related to the area of assignment; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

    Preferred:

    + An associate’s degree or greater in machining, manufacturing, or a related field.

    + 7 – 10 years of experience in a machine shop environment.

    + 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
