Job Summary and Qualifications

As a **Physical Therapy Assistant** at HCA Healthcare, you’ll improve the lives of patients by providing individualized care that restores mobility and independence. Supported by well-defined processes, caseloads that let you focus on patients, and a strong partnership with your team and supervising PTs, you’ll deliver high-quality care with confidence and impact. Job duties include but not limited to:

+ Delivering therapeutic exercises and functional training to help patients regain independence and mobility

+ Applying physical therapy techniques and modalities to reduce pain and restore function

+ Monitoring patient progress and documenting responses to ensure safe, effective care Teaching patients and families how to use assistive devices and follow home exercise programs

+ Working closely with PTs, nurses, aides, and the care team to enhance the patient experience and support a culture of excellence

What qualifications you will need:

+ Basic Cardiac Life Support

+ (LPTA) Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Texas is required

+ An Associates Degree from an accredited PTA program is required

+ **A minimum of 1 year experience in an Inpatient rehab setting is preferred; acute care experience a plus; New grads will be considered based on clinical rotations**

+ **Must be able to work weekdays with rotating weekends and holidays**
