    Position Overview:

    The SCS Security Counselor III- US Program carries out routine functions in the SCS office under the direction of the Assistant Campus Coordinator for the US Program. He/she will work closely with all US Program leaders to ensure that the US Program milieu service needs are met and to support the general welfare, safety, and security of the US Program.

     

    This role requires dedication to the Integrated Treatment Model (ITM), with a focus on skill-building, behavioral reinforcement, and fostering positive relationships. The Security Counselor III -US Bilingual must approach all situations with a nonjudgmental attitude and work collaboratively as part of a team to promote pro-social behavior among minors, Lord (TGH) Therapeutic group home, McAlister and Green (Staff secure), and Shelter Programs.

    Position Qualifications:

    Minimum high school diploma or GED; some college preferred. A valid New York driver’s license and a NYS Security Guard License. Three years’ experience in childcare, law enforcement or security work required. Some supervisory experience would be helpful. A genuine respect and interest in the well-being of children. Must be Bilingual (English/Spanish).
