    Duties Description The Mental Health/First Aid Program Management Intern will report to managers within the Park Ranger Unit and the Health and Safety Bureau. Their duties will include, but not be limited to:• Working with the Office of Mental Health and the Mental Health Alliance of NYS to develop and implementtraining and program guidance.• Developing training materials and rolling out training programs.• Working with identified locations to implement a service dog program.• Working with the Peer Support Program to standardize training and messaging.• Tracking and analyzing incident data.• Working with the Office of Mental Health and the Mental Health Association to develop signage.• Working with the Public Information Office to develop messaging

     

    Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICAIONS:No Minimum Qualifications per Civil Service.ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS OF THE NEW YORK STATE STUDENT INTERN PROGRAM:• Be a United States citizen or foreign national eligible to work in the United States• Be 18 years of age or older• Be actively enrolled in a New York State college, university, or graduate program, or be a resident of New YorkState, attending a college, university or graduate program outside of New York State*• Have completed a minimum of one (1) year as a student at a degree-granting two or four-year college oruniversity (completion of one year's worth of academic credits over a longer period may qualify part-time studentsfor participation in the program), or be a currently enrolled graduate student or accepted in a graduate degreeprogram• Have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0, or the letter grade equivalentOPERATIONAL NEEDS:• Must have skilled computer abilities in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Teams and Excel.PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:(the following experience is preferred but not required)• College degree in Business Administration, Health Services, Human Services, Public Administration, PublicHealth, or related field.• Prior experience in a park, recreation center, camp or related work location preferred but not required
