**Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring a Scientist I, Post-Market Safety & Cosmetovigilance** for a **notable global cosmetics and personal-care company** known for developing innovative skincare, haircare, color cosmetics, and beauty-technology products.
This is an onsite role located in Clark, NJ.
**Pay:** **26- 29.4/hr** based on experience and education

About the Opportunity
This role supports the Post Market Safety & Cosmetovigilance function for the U.S. market, ensuring the safety and regulatory compliance of cosmetic and OTC products once they are available to consumers. The team monitors Adverse Events (AEs), evaluates safety data, collaborates with global teams, and contributes to continuous product safety improvement across the Americas Zone.
You will process adverse event reports, support data review and extraction for safety assessment, and collaborate closely with global partners, Product Safety Evaluation, and Consumer Care teams.
Key Responsibilities
Case Processing & Data Management
+ Prioritize and process U.S. OTC, Cosmetic, Medical Device, and Hospital Visit cases.
+ Perform data entry, MedDRA coding, and prepare case narratives for potential Health-Related Complaints (HRCs) in the Post-Marketing Safety database.
+ Ensure accuracy, completeness, validity, and regulatory compliance for all case records.
+ Reconcile cases received from the Consumer Care Center (CCC); identify missing records, resolve discrepancies, and communicate corrections to CCC leadership.
+ Provide informed feedback regarding database issues, incorrect case details, or system errors.
Safety Review & Analysis
+ Extract and validate data for global and regional safety reviews.
+ Support cumulative AE review by providing clean datasets for product safety evaluations.
+ Assist in identifying potential safety signals by offering accurate, timely case information.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
+ Work closely with Product Safety Evaluation teams on individual and aggregate safety assessments.
+ Communicate with manufacturing sites regarding potential quality-related complaints.
+ Interface with global colleagues, including partners in France, for process alignment and tool accuracy.
Training, Documentation & Compliance
+ Train new team members within the Americas Zone on database systems, case processing, and data-entry standards.
+ Maintain departmental documentation, including training records, quality investigations, and FDA correspondence.
+ Participate in SOP and work process (WP) updates and contribute to continuous process improvements.
+ Support preparation of statistical reports and serve as a backup resource when needed.
+ Uphold company safety policies, quality standards, and operational compliance requirements.
Qualifications
+ BS or MS in Biology, Life Sciences, or a related field preferred.
+ 3–5+ years of relevant experience in post-market safety, pharmacovigilance, cosmetovigilance, or related data-processing roles.
+ Experience with MedDRA terminology strongly preferred.
+ Understanding of U.S. Post-Marketing Safety regulations (OTC and Cosmetic) is a plus.
+ Strong communication skills (written, verbal).
+ Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
+ Proven analytical accuracy, documentation skills, and attention to detail.
+ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a matrixed environment.

**Pay Details:** $26.00 to $29.40 per hour
