    Overview

    Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) – Hand Therapy

    **Location:** Select Physical Therapy – Kissimmee, FL

    **Type:** Per Diem | **Pay:** Starting at $26+/hr (based on experience)

    **Schedule:** As needed, Monday–Friday (center hours: 8 AM–7 PM)

    **Bonus:** Extra hours available if willing to float to nearby centers (within 30 mins)

     

    Select Physical Therapy in Kissimmee is hiring a per diem COTA to support our outpatient hand therapy team. Work alongside an experienced OT/CHT treating upper extremity orthopedic conditions.

    Requirements:

    + FL COTA license

    + 1+ year hand therapy experience preferred, or new grad with hand fieldwork

    Responsibilities

    + Under the direction of the licensed occupational therapist, optimize the functional abilities and skills of patients.

    + Teach clients new ways of approaching tasks and educate them on how to break down activities into achievable components

    + Ensure delivery of high-quality patient care services.

    + Observe, note, and report on the progress of long and short-term treatment goals

    + Ensure proper documentation of patient care.

    + Maintain professional standards through compliance with quality assurance policies/ procedures as well as applicable regulations and corporate policies

    Qualifications

    + Must be a graduate of an ACOTA accredited occupational therapy assistant (OTA) program

    + National registration and state COTA licensure or registration REQUIRED

    + Must have previous experience working with hand therapy patients

    + 1+ year hand therapy experience preferred, or new grad with hand fieldwork

    + Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification

    + Valid state driver’s license
