    About the Role

     

    We’re looking for a **reliable and safety-conscious Forklift Operator** to join our team! 🚜 In this role, you’ll handle stone and brick materials, maintain organized storage, and assist with general yard operations. If you enjoy working outdoors 🌤️, operating equipment, and being part of a collaborative team, this position is for you!

     

    • Key Responsibilities

    + Safely operate forklifts to load, unload, and transport stone and brick materials within the yard.

    + Stack and store materials properly to prevent damage and maintain safety standards.

    + Assist with inventory control by counting and recording materials accurately.

    + Load materials into customer vehicles 🚚 (cars, trucks, box trucks, and flatbeds).

    + Perform general yard maintenance, including cleaning and organizing work areas.

    + Follow all safety protocols and company procedures.

    + Work closely with team members to ensure efficient operations.

    + Deliver excellent customer service when interacting with clients and vendors.

    • What We’re Looking For

    + Proven experience operating forklifts (sit-down models preferred).

    + Knowledge of material handling and order picking.

    + Ability to perform general labor tasks and routine forklift maintenance checks.

    + Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

    + Team-oriented attitude and good communication skills.

    + Willingness to learn and take guidance from experienced team members.

    This is a Contract position based out of Chesapeake, VA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.

    Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job

    classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
