    About the Role

     

    Join a reputable, family-owned contractor with over 75 years in the utility construction industry. We are looking for an experienced **Heavy Equipment Operator** to join our team and contribute to commercial construction projects in Colorado Springs.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate heavy equipment including loaders and excavators.

    + Perform general labor tasks as needed.

    + Safely and efficiently operate equipment such as **624 Loaders** and **John Deere 470 Excavators** .

    + Work collaboratively with a unified crew handling both dirt and utility tasks.

    Must-Have Skills

    + **Minimum 3 years** operating loaders and excavators combined.

    + Proficiency with heavy equipment operation in construction environments.

    + Experience with brands like **Hitachi** , **John Deere** , **Cat** , and **Komatsu** .

    Nice-to-Have Skills

    + Familiarity with equipment without GPS systems (2D GPS experience not required).

    + Knowledge of specific models like **624 Loader** and **John Deere 470 Excavator** .

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Colorado Springs, CO.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
