    Quality Test Technician

    Job Description

    The Quality Control Technician will play a vital role in ensuring the production of high-quality pharmaceutical products by performing essential testing during night operations. This position is pivotal in maintaining compliance with cGMP standards and FDA regulations, ensuring product integrity in a dynamic and innovative environment. The role is on-call, with night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, Monday through Friday, and may require weekend coverage as needed.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform routine and specialized testing on raw materials, intermediates, and finished products in accordance with SOPs and regulatory requirements.

    + Operate and maintain instrumentation.

    + Document all results accurately in LIMS and ensure data integrity.

    + Assist in investigations of out-of-specification (OOS) results and support corrective actions.

    + Collaborate with manufacturing and quality assurance teams to resolve issues promptly.

    + Maintain a safe, organized environment and adhere to safety protocols.

    Essential Skills

    + Education in a related field or equivalent QC experience.

    + 1–2 years experience in a pharmaceutical environment preferred.

    + Familiarity with cGMP, GLP, and FDA guidelines.

    + Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently during night shifts.

    + Proficiency in troubleshooting equipment.

    + Effective communication and documentation skills.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Experience with LIMS and SAP systems.

    + Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles.

    + Ability to manage multiple priorities under time-sensitive conditions.

    + Mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting, electronics, chemical production, and pharmaceutical manufacturing.

    + Engineering technician background.

    + Ability to stand for extended periods and handle chemicals safely.

    + Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.

    + Associates or Bachelor's degree in engineering or 2-3 years of chemical or pharma manufacturing.

    + Exposure to APIs is a plus.

    + Candidates with a strong background in chemical or pharma manufacturing without a degree will be considered.

    This is a Contract position based out of Richmond, VA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
