Job Title: Medical Assistant

Job Description

Join our patient care team as a Medical Assistant, where you’ll play a vital role in supporting providers and nursing staff with daily office operations. This is a rewarding opportunity to contribute to delivering high-quality patient care in an outpatient cardiology setting.

Responsibilities

+ Assist with patient care tasks and clinical support duties.

+ Measure and record vital signs accurately.

+ Manage patient intake and ensure smooth flow through the office.

+ Room patients promptly and maintain efficiency.

+ Document patient information in electronic health records (EHR) with precision.

Essential Skills

+ Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) diploma required.

+ 1+ years of experience in a medical assisting role (entry-level candidates will be considered).

+ Strong proficiency in patient care and clinical tasks.

+ Familiarity with EHR systems and triage procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Cardiology experience is a plus.

+ Ability to perform EKGs and assist with stress testing.

+ Highly organized and efficient in managing patient flow (goal: room patients every 20 minutes).

+ Specialty experience preferred but not mandatory.

Work Environment

This role is based in a fast-paced cardiology office that values a family-oriented atmosphere while handling high patient volumes. Primary location is Glastonbury, with additional sites in Avon, West Hartford, Hartford, Wethersfield, Windsor, and Norwich.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Glastonbury, CT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
