    Job Title: Senior Continuous Improvement EngineerJob Description

     

    As a Senior Continuous Improvement Engineer, you will be instrumental in driving cost reduction, productivity, and quality enhancements within the manufacturing domain. You will spearhead and support continuous improvement initiatives by employing Lean, Six Sigma, APQP, and related methodologies. Your role will involve developing and optimizing manufacturing methods, standards, layouts, and line balances. You will also design, deploy, and validate automation and digital solutions for manufacturing processes.

    Responsibilities

    + Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and APQP tools.

    + Develop and optimize manufacturing methods, standards, layouts, and line balances.

    + Design, deploy, and validate automation and digital solutions for manufacturing processes.

    + Support new product introductions and integrate new processes and equipment.

    + Analyze, specify, and justify equipment, tooling, and capital projects.

    + Provide documentation, training, and guidance to shop floor and indirect teams.

    + Mentor and lead continuous improvement teams; develop and track performance metrics.

    + Collaborate with Manufacturing and QA to start up, debug, and verify processes.

    + Research and develop new manufacturing technologies and processes.

    + May assume additional responsibilities as needed.

    Essential Skills

    + Manufacturing engineering expertise

    + Continuous improvement and manufacturing process knowledge

    + Project management skills

    + Experience with assembly processes

    + Proficiency in CAD/CAM software

    + Automation and time studies

    + Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies

    + Process improvement capabilities

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred; Associate degree in Technical Field required

    + 5+ years of manufacturing experience

    + Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical/electronic componentry

    + Quality Assurance fundamentals

    + Systems knowledge (AS400, NOMS, CORE, EDM) preferred

    Work Environment

    The work environment involves manufacturing forklifts and distributing them globally. The role includes continuous manufacturing and custom project-based work. Candidates will work a Monday to Thursday schedule at least 50% of the time, with occasional work on Fridays and remote work as needed. The facility conditions are typical of a manufacturing environment, being cold in the winter and hot in the summer. This is a first shift position. Employees enjoy a schedule of 4 ten-hour shifts per week, allowing for a great work-life balance with occasional overtime. The facility is very clean, and employees have the opportunity to work on exciting projects and custom orders.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Berea, KY.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $42.50/hr.
