Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Overview
We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to design, implement, and optimize production processes that drive efficiency and minimize waste. This role leverages Lean and Six Sigma principles to ensure high-quality output and continuous improvement across our manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
+ Develop and enhance manufacturing processes for components and systems.
+ Streamline workflows to boost efficiency using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
+ Create and maintain detailed process documentation, including work instructions and sequence cards.
+ Lead or support projects involving equipment installation and production line modifications.
+ Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Assembly teams to ensure seamless product launches.
+ Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets effectively.
+ Analyze production data to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
+ Conduct time studies, line balancing, and ergonomic evaluations.
+ Design strategies for equipment layout and material flow optimization.
+ Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
+ Partner with Quality Assurance to resolve issues and support audits.
+ Provide hands-on technical support to address production challenges.
Qualifications & Skills
+ Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality control.
+ Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
+ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Familiarity with ERP systems and resource planning tools.
+ Expertise in Continuous Improvement, Root Cause Analysis, and Lean Manufacturing.
+ Education & Experience:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
+ Minimum 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Work Environment
This is an onsite position, requiring time on the manufacturing floor and in the office. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams in a dynamic, fast-changing environment.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr.
