    Job Title: Medical Assistant

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to provide safe and efficient patient care services under the supervision and direction of a licensed provider and nurse. You will perform various administrative duties and have completed the necessary training and competencies as a medical technician. This role is primarily back office focused, involving charting patients for a general practice clinic within a hospital health network.

    Responsibilities

    + Take and record vitals, including blood pressure, heart rate, age, weight, and temperature.

    + Room patients and set up their files for the doctor.

    + Prepare and stock rooms after patient visits.

    + Work closely with one provider and ensure efficient patient flow.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.

    + Experience in urgent care or internal medicine settings preferred.

    + Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and medical assisting.

    + Strong customer service skills and patient care abilities.

    + Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Medical Assisting Diploma.

    + Experience with appointment scheduling, medical terminology, and insurance verification.

    Work Environment

    This is a fast-paced clinic environment working Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. The clinic hosts 12 providers across several specializations and includes on-site lab and imaging centers.     This is a Contract position based out of THOUSAND OAKS, CA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
