Traveling Superintendent – Data Center Projects

Are you an experienced construction leader with a passion for delivering mission-critical projects? We’re seeking a Traveling Superintendent with data center project experience and strong MEP expertise to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to lead complex projects across multiple locations while driving excellence in safety, quality, and efficiency.

What You’ll Do

+ Lead pre-construction planning, including site logistics, safety protocols, and crisis management strategies.

+ Manage and oversee field staff, subcontractors, and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle.

+ Conduct daily coordination meetings, facilitate weekly work plans, and manage job site logistics and material deliveries.

+ Collaborate with the Project Management team to develop and adjust project schedules.

+ Participate in subcontractor selection, generate RFIs, and oversee procurement of materials, tools, and equipment.

+ Implement and manage Quality Control plans using platforms like Procore (Pre-Install Plans, Inspections, Punch Lists).

+ Maintain accurate on-site documentation, including drawings, logs, and inspection records.

+ Ensure budget alignment for labor, materials, and equipment; support cost tracking and forecasting.

+ Oversee project closeout activities, including commissioning, final inspections, and owner training.

+ Promote Lean construction methodologies, including Pull-Plan sessions and continuous improvement practices.

+ Drive a safe job site environment through safety meetings, orientations, and compliance with OSHA standards.

+ Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, design teams, and subcontractors.

What We’re Looking For

+ Required Skills & Experience

+ Proven experience in data center construction or other mission-critical infrastructure.

+ Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage field teams and subcontractor performance.

+ Knowledge of construction scheduling, project management, and cost estimation.

+ Experience managing field operations across multiple locations.

+ Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.

+ Willingness to travel and work on remote job sites.

+ Preferred Qualifications

+ Familiarity with Procore or similar construction management platforms.

+ Experience in Lean construction and continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Fargo, ND.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $180000.00/yr.
