Description

We are looking for a dedicated SPANISH BILINGUAL Payroll Specialist to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. In this role, you will manage and oversee payroll processes for a large workforce, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. This is a long-term contract position that offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic work environment and grow professionally.

Responsibilities:

• Review employee timesheets to confirm accuracy and ensure proper data entry into payroll systems.

• Process payroll transactions, including direct deposits, paper checks, and wage garnishments.

• Generate and distribute reports related to timekeeping, payroll, benefits, and garnishments.

• Manage vacation calculations for union and non-union staff, adhering to company-specific policies.

• Oversee payroll technology systems, including software and hardware, ensuring smooth operations.

• Train managers, new hires, and frontline staff on payroll system usage and application access.

• Adjust employee compensation for raises, bonuses, and other changes based on contractual agreements.

• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies promptly and effectively to maintain employee satisfaction.

• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, garnishments, and benefits distribution processes.

Requirements • Prior experience in payroll processing or accounting functions is preferred but not mandatory.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to handle large volumes of data.

• Proficiency in payroll software systems such as Ceridian, Kronos, or similar platforms.

• Excellent mathematical and analytical abilities to manage calculations and reporting.

• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English, both written and verbal, is essential.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while maintaining flexibility.

• Familiarity with payroll-related regulations, tax laws, and employee benefits administration.

• Willingness to learn new processes and adapt to changes in payroll technology.
