Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Tax Senior or Manager to join their team in Irmo, South Carolina. In this role, you will oversee and deliver high-quality tax services to a diverse portfolio of clients, including individuals, businesses, and organizations. You will play a key role in managing client relationships, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review complex tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and other entities.

• Conduct thorough research on tax regulations to ensure compliance and identify planning opportunities for clients.

• Provide guidance and mentorship to entry-level staff, helping them develop their technical skills and advance in their careers.

• Manage multiple client engagements by planning, budgeting, and ensuring timely delivery of services.

• Collaborate with clients to address tax-related inquiries and strengthen working relationships.

• Assist with tax projections, estimated payments, and year-end planning strategies.

• Stay informed about changes in tax laws, industry developments, and best practices to provide accurate advice.

• Work closely with audit and advisory teams to deliver comprehensive service to clients.

• Contribute to business development efforts by participating in networking and firm initiatives.

• Perform additional tasks as required to support the tax department.

Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field; a Master’s in Taxation is preferred.

• Active CPA license or significant progress toward obtaining CPA certification.

• At least 5 years of recent experience in public accounting with a focus on tax services.

• Proficient in using tax software, such as Drake Tax Software, and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Strong knowledge of federal income tax provisions and corporate tax returns.

• Exceptional analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for client interactions and team collaboration.
