Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our team in Southfield, Michigan. This role involves providing comprehensive support for litigation tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in legal procedures. The ideal candidate will have experience in civil litigation and a strong ability to manage schedules and deadlines.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and file legal documents electronically, ensuring compliance with court requirements.

• Manage calendars and schedules for attorneys, including deadlines and court appearances.

• Draft and edit legal documents, correspondence, and reports with precision.

• Coordinate with clients and other parties involved in litigation to facilitate smooth communication.

• Conduct research to support legal arguments and case preparation.

• Maintain organized records of case files and documentation for easy access.

• Assist with court filings and ensure timely submission of all required documents.

• Provide administrative support by handling phone calls, emails, and scheduling meetings.

• Collaborate with attorneys to ensure cases progress efficiently and meet deadlines. Requirements • Proficiency in electronic filing systems and court submission processes.

• Prior experience in civil litigation, with knowledge of legal terminology and procedures.

• Strong organizational skills to manage schedules and meet time-sensitive deadlines.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Familiarity with drafting and editing legal documents accurately.

• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Proficiency in legal research and case preparation.

• High level of attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
