Position Overview
The Community Development Administrative Assistant plays a key role in supporting events, donor communications, and departmental operations. This position requires strong organizational skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
+ Assist with planning and coordinating community events, employee recognition programs, and donor initiatives.
+ Manage event logistics, including budgeting, vendor communication, timelines, and post-event follow-up.
+ Prepare and maintain accurate records, reports, invoices, and correspondence.
+ Support membership drives and campaigns through data tracking and communication.
+ Maintain inventory of supplies and process purchase orders and invoices.
+ Provide administrative support for donor relations and internal recognition programs.
Qualifications
+ High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education preferred.
+ 1–3 years of administrative experience (scheduling, data entry, reporting).
+ Experience in community development, human services, or marketing preferred.
+ Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse populations.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and cloud-based systems.
+ Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
+ Reliable transportation for travel within Oneida and Lewis Counties.
