    Position Overview:

    FIRST (Families In Recovery SupporT) Steps Together is a home visiting program that is able to provide flexible, community based and virtual services. We match individuals with a family recovery support specialist who is a person in recovery with specialized training. They will walk beside you on both your recovery and early parenting journey. You will also have the option to work with a mental health counselor with specialized training, and we offer groups and care coordination.

     

    The FIRST Steps Together Supervisor is responsible for providing both individual and group collaboration to Family Recovery Support Specialists (a parent with their own lived experience of substance use and recovery) and program clinician providing opportunities for ongoing review of implementation data, case discussion, peer support and skill building. This role is also responsible for providing outreach, recruitment, reporting, data collection and continuous quality improvement.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    + Provides at least one hour of individual collaboration weekly to each Family Recovery Support Specialist and clinician using objective, reflective and empathic interventions, and strategies

    + Provides 1-2 hours per week group collaboration/case review

    + Holds bi-weekly meetings with Family Recovery Support Specialists

    + Provides at least 2 hours of staff meetings monthly that cover administrative issues

    + When necessary, assists with significant client needs/crises - collateral contacts to DCF, ER, schools, etc.

    + Conducts quality assurance calls for program participants

    + Monitors third-party billing performance and liaisons with M.O.C.’s behavioral health operations including their EHR system and clinical leadership

    + Holds project meetings, cross-site collaboration

    + Completes performance evaluations of each Family Recovery Support Specialist

    + Develops/maintains relationships with community organizations to help grow and sustain the program

    + Participate in budget meetings with fiscal while working close with supervisor and fiscal team on budget oversight

    + Monitors service documentation, data collection and reporting.

    + Attends community meetings, including advisory committee

    + Assists in the planning of parent groups and events

    + Ensures continuous quality improvement

    + Understand and fully support the Recovery Coach Mode

    Required Skills and Qualifications:

    + A minimum of three (3) years of experience working with families and children, two of which must be in a supervisory capacity

    + Strong knowledge of and commitment to various socioeconomic populations and issues affecting these families

    + Considerable knowledge of the addiction treatment services system and support services

    + BSAS approved Recovery Coach Academy Supervisor Certificate or ability to obtain certification within 2 months of hire date

    + Experience with group planning and facilitation

    + High degree of personal organization, attention to detail, and time management skills

    + Excellent computer skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn new software programs

    + Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to motivate and effectively work with staff to achieve goals

    + Knowledge and familiarity with DCF a plus

    + Driver’s license and access to reliable transportation

    + At least 2 years of experience as a Family Recovery Support Specialist, a recovery coach or in a peer capacity strongly preferred

    Physical Requirements:

    + Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

    + Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times

    Compensation:

    A salary within the range of $30.24 - $40.91 per hour will be provided to the successful candidate having met the minimum requirements for the position consistent with the MOC compensation philosophy.
