Health Advocates Network is currently seeking a **SMH Level 3 RN Endo/GI** to work at a Facility in **Rochester, NY.** These are _registry_ positions with our company.
This is a travel position located in Rochester, NY and they need to be over 50+ miles away to qualify for this role.
Traveler Hrly Rate $29.96
Gross Wages $1,198.40
Traveler Lodging $924.00
Travel M&I $560.00
Total Travel Stipend $1,484.00
Total Travel Pkg $2,682.40
Blended Rate $67.06
Duties:
+ Perform comprehensive pre-, intra-, and post-procedure nursing care for GI/endoscopy patients.
+ Complete focused assessments, including airway, sedation readiness, and GI symptom evaluation.
+ Administer moderate sedation and monitor patients for safety and response.
+ Assist gastroenterologists with endoscopic procedures (EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, EUS, PEG, etc.).
+ Manage and operate endoscopy equipment safely and ensure proper set-up.
+ Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythm, and oxygenation throughout procedures.
+ Provide post-procedure recovery care, including discharge criteria assessment.
+ Educate patients and families on preparation, procedures, and post-procedure instructions.
+ Respond rapidly to complications such as bleeding, perforation, or sedation-related changes.
+ Document assessments, medications, and procedural details accurately in the EMR.
+ Maintain infection-control practices and ensure proper reprocessing of scopes (in coordination with SPD/tech staff).
+ Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia, techs, and support staff to ensure safe workflow.
+ Assist with triage, scheduling needs, and coordination of urgent/emergent GI cases.
+ Participate in quality improvement, safety protocols, and unit-based initiatives.
+ Provide high-level, autonomous nursing care consistent with Level 3 competencies.
Qualifications:
+ **Minimum one year (12 months) of experience as a RN Endo/GI**
+ A valid and current license issued by the state of **NY**
+ A valid and current CPR card (American Heart Association)
+ Proficiency in the English language is necessary for communication with other staff and patients.
