About the role Within the Facilities department, this position is responsible for the overall janitorial duties of the facility during work hours. Responsibilities Daily cleaning and stocking of restrooms, office areas, break areas, entrances, lobbies, hallways, stairwells, outside break areas and any other assigned areas as necessary. Disinfect commonly used items such as desks, door handles, office tools and phones. Collection of plastic, separate paper and other foreign objects from plastic, bale plastic. Litter removal from outside building as well as dumping all garbage cans that are not emptied by departments. At assigned intervals, inventory, stock, and organize utility room supplies. Clean refrigerator in main break room and office a minimum of four times a month. Clean lower-level windows inside and outside as necessary. Clean the warehouse area utilizing the sweeper and/or scrubbing machines, as well as keeping both machines stocked and clean. Notify Maintenance of any malfunctioning toilets, lights, equipment, or other building maintenance issues. Vacuum, sweep and mop all floors as necessary in housekeeping areas. General cleaning of the warehouse including but not limited to; under conveyors, under pallet racking, under flow racking, around all end caps. General cleanup of the truck yard at minimum once per week. Snow removal as needed. Perform minor repairs on machinery, tools and equipment. Sort pallets for reuse. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education & Experience High School Diploma or G.E.D. Minimum one year experience in a custodian/janitor position required Fork Lift Certification a plus Bloodborne Pathogen Certification is preferred Skills & Abilities Ability to multi-task a variety of responsibilities and duties Ability to provide good customer service to the employees Leviton is an EEO/AA Employer.
