Job Description
We are looking for an **Assembly Technician** to polish, test, and assemble fiber optic cables and components. This position will be **full-time** and **onsite** in **Arden, NC. This is 2nd shift - 3pm-11:30pm.**
What You’ll Do
+ Polish and test fiber optic cables
+ Assemble and package fiber optic connector components
+ Terminate single and multi-fiber cables
+ Inspect own work using quality standards and work instructions
+ Conduct tests as needed for particular operations
+ Measure components using calipers, gages, or other measuring devices
+ Inspect product to print
+ Complete necessary operational paperwork to maintain the traceability of product
+ Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs to equipment as needed
+ Maintain general housekeeping of work area
+ Follow company and department guidelines, procedures, and policies
+ Follow safety guidelines
+ Perform all other work-related duties as assigned
+ Read and perform tasks according to drawings
+ Recognize common fiber connectors
+ Apply knowledge of cleaning methods and contamination assessment for optical assembly
What You’ll Need
Required:
+ High School Diploma or GED
+ Must be able to move materials weighing up to 50 pounds
+ Must be able to remain in stationary position 75% of the time
+ Must be able to operate machinery
+ Must be able to move between work zones
+ Proficiency in understanding written instructions in English language
+ Minimum one year manufacturing experience
+ Experience with manufacturing fiber cables
+ SAP Manufacturing & ISO 9001 experience
+ Working knowledge of hand tools and blueprint reading
+ Available to work overtime to support production goals as needed
+ Team-oriented with the ability to work cohesively with other employees
+ Credible and responsible for own work, respecting confidentiality
Physical Demands
+ Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
+ Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
+ Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
+ Must be able to safely move materials weighing up to 50 pounds
+ Must be able to operate machinery and move between work zones

$19.37 per hour
The pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
