    Job Title: Network Engineer & Monitoring Engineer (2 Openings)

     

    Contract Duration: 6 months (with potential for full-time conversion)

    Overview

    We are seeking two experienced professionals to join our team on a 6-month contract, with the possibility of transitioning to a full-time role. These positions will play a critical role in supporting enterprise-level infrastructure and monitoring initiatives.

    Position 1: Network Engineer

    The Network Engineer will perform advanced configurations and modify implementations of core network infrastructure systems impacting the entire organization. Responsibilities include developing and implementing advanced network monitoring, management, and troubleshooting systems and tools, as well as rapid resolution of system-wide issues. This role will also assist in merging two separate enterprise network environments to support departmental goals.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Provide advice on project costs, design concepts, or design changes.

    + Document design specifications, installation instructions, and other system-related information.

    + Evaluate current or emerging technologies for cost, portability, compatibility, and usability.

    + Identify system data, hardware, or software components required to meet user needs.

    + Perform ongoing hardware and software maintenance, including upgrades.

    + Communicate project information through presentations, technical reports, or white papers.

    + Direct installation of network or application software, or computer/network hardware.

    Qualifications:

    + Strong communication skills (written and verbal); experience interfacing with executive leadership preferred.

    + Ability to create and interpret network diagrams and documentation.

    + Network certifications (e.g., Cisco, CCNP) are a plus.

    Position 2: Monitoring Engineer

    The Monitoring Engineer will design and deploy monitoring solutions for databases, networks, infrastructure services, applications, and mission-critical systems. This role will drive strategy and standardization of monitoring across the enterprise, ensuring accurate metric collection and reporting.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Implement methods for improving and establishing controls for critical processes.

    + Respond to operational priorities while progressing on project work.

    + Deliver clear written and oral communication and produce measurable outcomes.

    + Optimize operational standards for securing information assets.

    + Create and maintain dashboards integrating multiple monitoring tools.

    + Maintain platform health through upgrades, patches, and troubleshooting.

    + Collaborate with engineering and support teams to ensure seamless monitoring and alerting.

    Qualifications:

    + Strong communication skills; comfortable interfacing with all levels of leadership.

    + Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., BigPanda, ServiceNow).

    + Ability to write scripts and queries for automation and self-healing capabilities.

    Skills:

    + Network engineering

    + Cisco routers and switches

    + Monitoring tools (BigPanda, ServiceNow)

    + Cisco certifications (CCNP preferred)

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $75.00/hr.
