About the role

As an SAP RAR Consultant, you will make an impact by designing and implementing revenue accounting and reporting solutions that integrate seamlessly with SAP systems, enabling accurate financial compliance and streamlined order-to-cash processes. You will be a valued member of our SAP Practice and work collaboratively with project managers, finance stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to deliver best-in-class solutions.

Cognizant’s SAP Practice

Cognizant’s SAP practice is part of our Enterprise Platform Services (EPS) unit. In Cognizant’s SAP practice, we help enterprises maximize business value in the digital economy. As part of this practice, you will drive digital acceleration, to prepare our clients for the approaching autonomous business by unlocking the value of digital with industry-specific outcomes. Our extended service portfolio and business solutions help our clients gain competitive leadership, discover new revenue streams and achieve business agility—all with the operational mandates of cost and efficiency.

In this role, you will

+ Lead end-to-end SAP RAR implementations, including migration and integration with FI, SD, and/or BRIM.

+ Design and configure RAR processes, ensuring compliance with IFRS 15/16 and revenue recognition standards.

+ Collaborate with business teams to analyze requirements, identify gaps, and deliver solution enhancements aligned with SAP best practices.

+ Provide functional leadership for SAP RAR, supporting group reporting and resolving complex integration issues between SAP and non-SAP systems.

+ Support project management activities including planning, risk management, and reporting.

What you need to succeed (Required skills)

+ Minimum 10 years of SAP consulting experience with at least 3 years in SAP RAR.

+ Deep understanding of order-to-cash processes, SD/FICO integration, BRIM, IFRS 16, COPA, and revenue recognition.

+ Experience in solution design and configuration across RAR, SD, and FI/CO modules.

+ Demonstrated leadership in coordinating cross-functional teams and delivering best-practice solutions.

+ Experience working in an onsite-offshore model and managing global stakeholders.

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including documentation and executive presentations.

What will help you stand out (preferred skills)

+ Prior experience in high-tech or software industries.

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field or CPA or equivalent certification.

+ Ability to create opportunities for team ramp-up and capability building.

Working Arrangements

We believe hybrid work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a client office in Austin, TX or Sunnyvale, CA. Regardless of your working arrangement, we are here to support a healthy work-life balance though our various wellbeing programs.

Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $112,500- 132,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
