    Role Overview

     

    We are seeking an experienced Aveva PI Technical Specialist with a strong background in implementing and integrating AVEVA PI solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in PI infrastructure, MES integration, and real-time data management systems, with a focus on delivering high-impact projects in Energy, Manufacturing, and Life Sciences domains.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Design, configure, develop, test, and deploy real-time data solutions using AVEVA PI and CONNECT or equivalent data hubs.

    + Implement and upgrade PI infrastructure, including PI-MES integration.

    + Conduct MES equipment assessments for integration with Aveva PI and other L2/L3 systems.

    + Configure and test PI Data Historian components, including:

    + PI AF Analytics, PI Notifications, PI Event Frames, PI RtReports

    + PI Interfaces (OPC DA/UA, RDBMS, PI-to-PI)

    + PI Adapters and connectors

    + Develop custom interfaces and solutions using C# and Python.

    + Create PI-based dashboards (PI Vision/ProcessBook) and advanced analytics solutions.

    + Collaborate with stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle and provide detailed documentation of end-to-end solutions.

    + Define roadmaps and manage delivery for complex, high-impact projects.

    Required Qualifications

    + 10+ years of experience with the AVEVA PI software suite.

    + Hands-on experience in PI infrastructure implementation, upgrades, and MES integration.

    + Working knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure, data hubs, and data lakes (CONNECT Data Services preferred).

    + Strong programming skills: C#, Python, .NET, SSIS, API/Adapter calls, SQL.

    + Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI.

    + PI System accreditation/certification from OSIsoft/Aveva.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Experience supporting Energy, Manufacturing, and Life Sciences domains.

    + AWS/Azure certifications (optional).

    Additional Skills

    + Self-motivated with the ability to learn quickly and independently.

    + Capable of managing projects with minimal supervision.

    + Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

    + Ability to produce comprehensive documentation.

    **Compensation:** - $110,000 to $140,000 +/- and this position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans. Application will be accepted by 1/09/2026
