Position Overview The School Aide provides instructional and/or behavioral assistance to students under the supervision of the special education department, classroom teacher, or designated supervisor. In addition, the School Aide may support students with personal care, physical mobility, and therapeutic needs as directed by a rehabilitation health practitioner, social worker, or other healthcare professional. Key Responsibilities

+ Assist students with academic tasks and classroom participation.

+ Support behavioral interventions and reinforce positive student conduct.

+ Provide personal care and mobility assistance as required.

+ Implement therapeutic care plans under professional guidance.

+ Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and staff to ensure student success.

+ Maintain compliance with school policies and professional standards.

Minimum Requirements

+ High school diploma or equivalent.

+ Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice.

+ Current CPR certification (if applicable).

+ Completion of TB questionnaire, PPD test, or chest x-ray (if applicable).

+ Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation).

+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.

+ Minimum age of 18 years.
