    Special Education Teacher – (Raeford, NC)

    Start Date: ASAP

    Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM (37.5 hrs/week)

     

    Contract Length: 2025–2026 School Year

     

    About the Role

     

    Amergis is seeking a Special Education Teacher to provide quality services to students in self-contained, resource or inclusion classrooms. This setting is designed for students with significant learning needs who require individualized instruction and support. Class sizes are small (4–7 students), allowing for focused attention and meaningful impact.

    Responsibilities

    + Deliver specialized instruction and tutorial assistance

    + Collaborate with general education staff and EC team to implement student programs

    + Support students in achieving academic and behavioral goals

    + Maintain compliance with all professional standards and regulations

    Requirements

    + Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred)

    + Valid state teaching certificate as required by state/district regulations

    + Minimum of one year teaching experience (preferred)

    + Active NC EC General Curriculum (K–12) License preferred but not required

    + Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred

    + Current CPR certification (if applicable)

    + TB screening and health certificate (per state/contract regulations)

    + Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

    + Minimum age: 18
