    Job Description

    Candidate will manage the execution of the daily operations for the Paint & Final Processing Departments to ensure that products are safely manufactured while delivering them on time and to budget. The operations manager will lead, and support cross-functional problem solving of complex situations, provide clarity and focus to teams, and drive rapid resolution of issues.

     

    + Oversee day-to-day operations of the Paint & Final Processing Departments on your shift, including any coordination of changes with scheduling, resource allocation, equipment, and workflow management.

    + Identify and lead activities that optimize safety, strengthen production processes, improve efficiency, and reduce costs while maintaining quality standards and meeting production delivery requirements.

    + Plan and direct the activities of the manufacturing team and set clear expectations and goals to ensure focus on safety, quality, schedule and delivery.

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality control, and supply chain, to ensure seamless coordination and execution of production plans.

    + Lead, mentor, and create a One Team mindset for a team of production workers, and cross-functional teams providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.

    + Work with their Value Stream Manager to develop strategies, prioritize, communicate, and manage operational priorities and initiatives.

    + Supports the implementation of new systems, procedures and work instructions, and special projects supporting manufacturing and customer service objectives.

    + Ensures compliance with all company & OSHA regulated safety requirements/standards, and environmental and ethical requirements.

    Required Education, Experience, & Skills

    + Associate degree and at least 4 years of related experience OR Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of related experience work experience or equivalent experience.

    + Exhibit sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing, coordinating and negotiating with management and employees at all levels.

    + Demonstrated ability to perform detailed data analysis, identify areas for improvement, and drive focused actions to initiate change.

    + Demonstrated ability to work and lead collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment with salaried and union hourly personnel to meet the needs of the business.

    + Ability to lead teams and drive lean / continuous improvement culture.

    + Ability to understand, prioritize, analyze, and resolve complex technical problems.

    + Ability to work independently and be effective in a fast paced environment.

    + Experience hosting audits in manufacturing environment, root cause and corrective action methods and project management for implementing new methodologies to resolve systemic issues.

    + Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

    Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

    + Experience with Industrial Coatings, Assembly, Machining, and/or Fabrication.

    + Experience working with CARC paint systems.

    + Experience working with a labor union.

    + Experience with Lean Manufacturing concepts..

     

    Pay Information

     

    Full-Time Salary Range: $90373 - $153634

     

    Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
