Job Description

This role collaborates with lenders, attorneys, Credit, Compliance, and support teams to facilitate closings for complex commercial loans across multiple business lines, including SBA, Equipment Finance, Corporate, Business Capital, Healthcare, Food and Agribusiness, Asset-Based Lending, and Commercial Real Estate. It involves authorizing closings after independently verifying requirements, reviewing due diligence, ensuring accuracy of loan terms in systems and documents, and preparing or reviewing closing packages whether attorney- or internally generated. As a subject matter expert, the position supports all lines of business, assists with procedures, risk memos, reports, system testing, and training, while also advising on post-closing covenant tracking and collateral perfection. The role monitors pipelines to meet deadlines and service standards, ensures executed documents match approvals, and confirms all conditions are satisfied before releasing funds, delivering a timely and high-quality closing experience for customers.

Skills and Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience.

- Minimum 8 years of experience with complex commercial lending products.

- Minimum 8 years of experience with loan origination systems and/or document drafting software.

- Strong ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex legal documents (paralegal-level proficiency).

- Excellent communication skills, extreme attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.

- SBA Loan Experience.

- Relationship Management skills - Familiarity with nCino/Salesforce, Compliance Systems, Info Access, Collateral 360, and CT Lien.

- Proficiency in technical writing to support process, procedure, and job aid development.

- Knowledge of Agency/Partnership requirements, entity structures, and authority.

- Familiarity with the Uniform Commercial Code and regulatory requirements for commercial lending collateral.

- Ability to adapt quickly to policy/process changes and provide training or coaching to peers.
