    Job Description

    Insight Global is looking for a ETL Developer to join one of our largest Financial clients in Plano, TX. This candidate will be joining a fully internal application team helping to manage financial advisor data, registration and licensing data portfolios. This candidate will focus on ETL development within an existing development team of 12. This team is undertaking a major initiative to move from Informatica PowerCenter to Informatica’s Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC). We’re looking for someone with proven, hands‑on experience in managing this type of migration—re‑engineering existing PowerCenter workflows and ensuring a smooth transition to IDMC.”

     

    Have exposure to all facets of Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) processes, able to create the complex mappings in order to extract the data from source to target using Informatica. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support development leads identify and prioritize business needs. This role will be integral in migrating the data warehouse to re-platforming the ETL to Informatica Cloud IICS

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Design, develop, and manage ETL workflows using Informatica PowerCenter, IICS, and IDMC to meet enterprise data integration needs.

    • Lead or support the migration of legacy ETL processes from on-premise platforms (e.g., PowerCenter) to cloud-based environments like IICS and IDMC.

    • Monitor ETL job executions, analyze logs, and collaborate with DBA and infrastructure teams for timely issue resolution.

    • Leverage IDMC’s AI-powered data integration and metadata-driven architecture to automate and optimize data pipelines.

    • Work with DBAs and Data Architects to plan and implement appropriate data partitioning strategy in Enterprise Data Warehouse

    Skills and Requirements

    • 7–10 years of experience developing and maintaining ETL workflows using Informatica PowerCenter, IICS, and IDMC

    • Proven experience in migrating legacy ETL processes (e.g., PowerCenter, DVL, PeopleSoft) to cloud-based platforms

    • Hands-on experience with UNIX shell scripting for file handling and job scheduling tasks.

    • Experience with DevOps and job scheduling tools, including GitHub for version control, Jenkins for CI/CD automation, and Control-M for enterprise workload orchestration

    • Strong proficiency in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL and performance tuning • Agile Methodology Experience
