    PeaceHealth is seeking a Diet Representative - Patient Services for a Part Time, 0.75 FTE, Variable position.

    • We are seeking Diet Representatives for various 10-hour shifts. Compensation starts at **$20.53-$30.86 per hour** , depending on experience.

    Essential Functions:

    • Responsible for providing excellent customer service to patients.

    • Distribute menus and assist patients at bedside with meal selection as needed.

    • Enter meal orders using a hand-held device with approved diet software.

    • Assist with patient meal tray assembly and serve meals to patients at scheduled times.

    • Collaborate with Registered Dietitians, nursing staff, and culinary team to optimize diet order compliance and patient satisfaction.

    • Ensure that food and meal items provided by the department meet prescribed diet orders, food allergies/intolerances, and/or special dietary instructions or restrictions. _Specialized on the job training will be provided!_

    • Maintain patient pantry supplies and document usage daily.

    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • Must be over 18 years old. High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

    • Washington State Food Handler Card is required.

    • Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English.

    • Strong customer service skills.

    • Ability to work well with others.

    • Work requires moderate physical exertion at least 66% of the time.

    + This position also functions as a lead.

     

    Working Conditions

    Lifting

    + Cooks: Continuous moving around area. Lifting: Frequent up to 22 lbs. Occasional up to 50 lbs. Occasional carrying up to 20 lbs. Frequent reaching/ bending/ stooping/ grasping. Occasional squatting/kneeling. Frequent pushing/pulling 14 lbs. sustained force with frequent stop/start. Occasional repetitive push/pull (scrubbing grill/oven).

    + Diet Rep/Aide: Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Consistently operates computer and other office equipment.

    + Food service asst.: Continuous moving around area. Lifting: Frequent up to 12 lbs. Occasional up to 44 lbs. Occasional carrying up to 25 lbs. Frequent reaching/ bending/ stooping, grasping. Occasional squatting/kneeling. Frequent pushing/pulling 30 lbs. sustained force with frequent stop/start.

    + Stores Coord Asst: Continuous moving around area. Lifting: Frequent up to 50 lbs. Occasional up to 35 lbs. Frequent reaching/ bending/ stooping/ grasping. Occasional squatting/kneeling .

    Environmental Conditions

    + Must be able to complete tasks in a noisy environment.

    + Working near/around heated surfaces (oven).

    + Working near/around water/liquid.

    Mental/Visual

    + Vision and hearing required within normal limits (glasses, contacts, hearing aids permitted).

    + Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
