Job Description
**Join Teledyne Qioptiq and bring precision to advanced assembly!** We’re seeking a Solder-Assembly Technician to support high-quality electro-mechanical assembly operations. If you have strong soldering skills and thrive in a dynamic environment, this role is for you.
What you’ll do
+ Perform soldering, wire and cable assembly, and related operations.
+ Maintain and operate soldering equipment.
+ Assemble components using hand tools and follow engineering drawings.
+ Conduct experiments on high-voltage, high-power devices.
+ Inspect finished products for quality and assist in resolving production issues.
+ Utilize electrical schematics to wire systems and cabinets.
+ Operate microscopes, gauges, and crimping equipment for precision work.
What you need
+ 3+ years of soldering and assembly experience (required)
+ Ability to solder and de-solder SMT and through-hole components (required)
+ Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand tools (required)
+ Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical blueprints (required)
+ Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible for security clearance (required)
+ IPC 610/620/JSTD certifications (advantage)
+ Two-year technical degree (advantage)
