Overview

+ Responsible for acting as interim facility Business Office Manager when vacancies occur, as well as providing the interim support with focus on AR and collections.

+ This includes providing the business office staff with the knowledge and skills necessary to complete all tasks assigned.

+ Evaluate efficiency, accuracy, and productivity of all office staff in collaboration with the REBOC and Controller and requirements set forth by Medicaid and Medicare.

+ Identify and participate in process improvement initiatives that improve the customer experience, enhance work flow, and/or improve the work environment.

+ Assist the Regional Business Office Consultant (REBOC) with on-boarding and training of new Business Office staff.

+ Act as a role model in the execution of business office policies, procedures, and daily functions.

+ Evaluate accuracy of billing under Medicaid and Medicare guidelines set forth by state and federal government.

+ Identify areas of concern and effectively communicate information with REBOC.

+ Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the accounts receivable process and make recommendations for improvement when applicable.

+ Assist in evaluating issues of poor performance and effectively communicate to the REBOC.

What you Need to make a Difference

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field or combination of education and experience.

+ Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in accounts receivable; long term care preferred.

+ Knowledge and experience with long term care accounts receivable practices.

+ Working knowledge of long-term care regulations, as well as knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid (including other third party insurance companies) billing practices.

+ Effective verbal and written English communication skills.

+ Demonstrated intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook, Internet and Intranet navigation.
